Cacao Collective Ceremonial Grade Cacao Paste

Cacao Collective Ceremonial Grade Cacao Paste is 100% pure cacao, made bean to bar from high-quality cacao beans and minimally processed so the natural fats, minerals and mood-lifting compounds stay intact. Melt a few pieces into hot water or your milk of choice for a rich, grounding cup that gives you steady energy and focus without the jitters or crash of coffee. It is one of the most popular items across both of our stores.

Why customers love it

• 100% ceremonial grade cacao: nothing added, no sugar, no fillers.
• Coffee alternative: gentle theobromine lift with only around 1.9 mg of caffeine per gram, roughly a strong cup of tea per 20 g serve.
• Naturally rich in minerals: a source of magnesium, iron, zinc, copper and potassium plus antioxidant polyphenols.
• Vegan, gluten free, non-GMO and made with fair trade, organic ingredients. Australian owned and packed in Australia.
• Two sizes: 250 g (about 12 serves) or 500 g (about 25 serves). A 1 kg block is also available.

How to make it

1. Chop or shave 15 to 20 g of cacao paste (about 1 to 2 tablespoons).
2. Add to a blender or mug with 80 to 120 ml of warm milk of your choice and a sweetener to taste (honey, maple, coconut sugar or stevia).
3. Top with 100 to 150 ml of hot (not boiling) water and blend or whisk for 10 seconds until frothy.
4. Add cinnamon, cayenne, vanilla or a pinch of salt to make it your own.

Ingredients

100% ceremonial grade cacao paste (Theobroma cacao). May contain traces of nuts.

Good to know

• Cacao melts above 31°C, so store in a cool, dark place (or the fridge in summer). Blooming or softening does not affect quality.
• Flavour and depth vary slightly from batch to batch, as with any single-origin natural product.
• If you take SSRIs or blood-thinning medication, or are pregnant, check with your health professional before making cacao a daily ritual.
